Our Founders
Dr. Paul Seemann, Jr., Founding Partner (Deceased)
Dr. Seemann was a 1983 graduate of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. He was married to Charlene Seemann, and was father to grown children Jeffrey Seemann and Amanda Seemann, DVM (LSU '15). An avid fisherman, Dr. Seemann also enjoyed time with his 3 cats. He is pictured here with our former hospital blood donor cat, Elwood. Dr. Seemann was a Diplomat of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners as a Canine and Feline Specialist.
Gone but not forgotten, Dr. Seemann was a phenomenal veterinarian, partner, mentor, friend, son, husband and father. His passing in October of 2015 is still felt by all who knew him.
Dr. Dawn Koetting, Founding Partner (Retired)
Dr. Koetting is a 1984 graduate of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and has practiced in Thibodaux since 1985. She is married to Donald Koetting. Their son Christopher rounds out their human family. Dr. Koetting enjoys pastel painting, bonsai, horseback riding with her horse, Splash and pony Snickers, and spending time with her dog, Deuce, her cat, Cami, and Macaw, Clyde. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners as a Canine and Feline Specialist. Dr. Koetting retired in January 2019 after 35 years of practice. Dr. Koetting's love for our rural mixed practice was evident in every farm call and with every odd creature that was brought in. She will now enjoy more time with her husband and pets, work in her garden, and explore opportunities to travel and paint.
