The surgeries we perform include:
- Ovariohysterectomy (spay)- dogs, cats, and rabbits
- Castration (neuter)- dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs
- Mass Removals/biopsies (internal organ and skin)
- Cystotomy (removal of bladder stones)
- Laceration repairs
- Brachycephalic surgery (stenotic nares and elongated soft palate)
- Gastropexy (preventative for gastric-dilatation and volvulus)
- Hernia repairs (inguinal and umbilical)
- Tail dock and dewclaws (in puppies less than or equal to 7 days)
- Amputation (tail, limb, and digit)
- Enucleation (removal of the eye)
- Splenectomy (removal of the spleen)
- Select knee surgeries (patella luxation repair)
If surgery is deemed necessary for your pet, you can be assured that our experienced doctors and staff will take the utmost care of your pet. To ensure your pet’s safety we may require blood work prior to each surgery so that we can screen for any abnormalities or conditions that may be problematic. Bloodwork is recommended for dogs and cats under 7 years old and required for those over 7 years old.
