Ultrasound
Ridgefield Animal Hospital offers pet parents access to a wide range of the latest diagnostic tools available in veterinary medicine. Ultrasound is an extremely useful non-invasive diagnostic instrument that produces clear, easy to read images that are more detailed than an x-ray. The use of ultrasound in diagnosing disease and injury in animals is becoming more prevalent in today’s veterinary medicine practice.
We have an ultrasound unit dedicated to thoracic and abdominal imaging. We use it to obtain urine samples to diagnose bladder infections, as well as visualize free fluid and large masses and tumors. Images can be analyzed by our doctors in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.
Ridgefield Animal Hospital provides ultrasound and other in-clinic diagnostic services to pets in
Thibodaux, Houma, Morgan City, Raceland, Lockport, and all the towns in between.
